This lockdown has surely been one of the biggest challenges for all of us. Who would have known that the world would come to a halt like this, crashing the world economy and paralysing the society? However, every cloud has a silver lining and this lockdown has shaped us into a better person and helped us learn the art of ‘survival of the fittest’.
Here are some things all of us have learnt during this Self-Quarantine period.
- The Art Of Appreciation
In our daily lives, we often come across myriad manifestations of nature and meet a lot of people. But how often have we appreciated the things we have in our lives? How often have we valued the people who exist in our lives? But this lockdown, where we were devoid of these gifts of our lives, we learnt their value and importance of appreciating the little things in life.
The lines ‘ Har pal yahan ji bhar jiyo, jo hai sama kal ho na ho...’ actually hold meaning now.
- Avoiding Wastage of Resources
Everybody got their wake-up call in this lockdown on how to save resources- be it water, fuel or food. When supply reduces and demand increases, that is when our skills are put to the real test.
We need to use the resources and our choices judiciously.
- Time management
Lockdown is the best opportunity to maximise your potential and leverage all your skills. From balancing your ‘work from home’ to mopping the floor. Kudos to you! You managed everything. Time Management is super important and mastering this art does wonder.
- Saving Money
From managing the electricity bill to saving for buying supplies, this lockdown surely taught us how to manage expenditures and using money wisely. Money matters and it is paramount that one should learn this art of managing money.
- Mental Strength
This lockdown may have reduced our physical activities and restrained the workouts and gym routines but it has helped us strengthen our willpower and determination to face atrocities and the challenges of life and emerging victorious from this.
Every struggle is a victory, one should always look for the positive aspects in every situation and try to implement the values learnt in this lockdown in practical life. Hope and happiness are the main ingredients for leading a positive life.
Stay Positive, Stay Relevant
