The guidelines regarding the reopening of higher education institutions have been released by UGC. As per the guidelines, the VC, head of the institution and the state government will have to take the call with regards to state universities and colleges.
The education institutions were closed since March 16 due to coronavirus pandemic. As per guidelines, apart from standard precautions, there will be 6 days schedule, reducing class size to promote social distancing.

The educational institutions have been asked to open campuses in a phased manner. Teachers must wear masks and take care of other protective measures. Also, it is mandatory for staff as well as students to install Aarogya Setu app in their phones.
