I remember the moment vividly—a quiet evening, a blank notebook, and a head full of dreams. The idea of Prometheus wasn’t born in a boardroom or sketched out in spreadsheets. It was born in my heart, fueled by a simple yet profound belief: education should be transformative. Every child deserves more than just an education—they deserve the chance to become the best version of themselves.
When we started Prometheus, I didn’t just want to create another school. As a first-generation entrepreneur, I knew what it felt like to build from scratch and to long for opportunities that weren’t readily available. I wanted to create a world within a world, a space where children could explore their passions, fall, rise, and grow. I wanted a school where the joy of discovery would matter more than grades, where failure wasn’t feared but embraced as a stepping stone, and where dreams would find fertile soil to take root and thrive. And yet, a dream is just the beginning. It takes courage to transform a dream into action, and action into reality. The journey to build Prometheus was anything but easy. We had just opened our doors in 2019, and within a year, the pandemic disrupted everything. Overnight, classrooms transformed into virtual spaces, and the familiar rhythm of school life was upended. But every time the dream flickered, I reminded myself why we started.
From the beginning, I knew Prometheus had to be different. Every decision we made was rooted in one question: “What kind of opportunities would I have wanted as a child? When I walk through our halls today, I see more than students; I see future leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.
Entrepreneurship has always been at the heart of our vision. We strive to nurture a mindset of innovation and problem-solving. That’s why we don’t treat entrepreneurship as an extracurricular activity—it is integrated into the curriculum itself. We want students to understand that the classroom isn’t separate from the real world; it is, in fact, a bridge to it.

As Vince Gowmon beautifully put it, “When we make play the foundation of learning, we teach the whole child.” Play is not just a break from learning; it’s a vital tool that sparks creativity, fosters cognitive and emotional growth, and builds essential life skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and resilience. It gives students the freedom to experiment, make mistakes, and learn without the pressure of perfection, nurturing independence, agency, and confidence. By integrating play into our curriculum, we provide a natural and enjoyable way for every child to explore, discover, and grow.
