A tiny school of seven students was founded by a lone teacher – Dr. R. Varadarajan , dreaming a University as far back as 1963 , and that was the beginning of NES . Together with its sister trust Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan (SVB), NES- SVB group has bloomed into a bouquet of 69 excellent institutions, providing quality education to students. Its institutions are not only achieving 100 % results, but have equally earned merit ranks in applicable courses consecutively over the years.NES and SVB group has spread today over 6 Educational complexes , imparting pre-primary to Ph.D. levels in discipline like Arts, Science, Commerce, Management , Foreign Languages, Teachers Education (B.ED & ECCED), Pharmaceutical Sciences, Music & Dance,MBA,BCA, MCA, Sports Education and even has, on its cards , an Institution on Film Technology and now established a second international school at its Dombivali complex. Physically challenged children (hearing impaired) are educated in a special Institution offering SSC Programme. A wondrous venture in education at Dharavi slum, the largest slums of Asia , is a composite school for pre-primary , to secondary education.The Education Group has a Medical Centre,Yoga Centre,a Sports School, a Gymnasium in each of their Education Complexes with new addition of a space centre on 6th Dec. 2012 and now, has a Space Pavilion from ISRO and VSSC,Trivandrum under the auspices of the Government of India. The NES High School commenced in the year 1963 is one of the flagship Institution of NES SVB group . It is a recognized English medium co- education school, which prepares students for S.S.C. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education. Students from all sections of the society and religion are on its roll. The aim of the school is to impart sound and effective instructions and to inculcate in the younger generation a high sense of enlightened citizenship, discipline , character , team spirit , dedication to duty and regard for patriotic values. The school team’s visit to Indo- Pak borders to boost the morale of our Jawans in 2004, with blessings of the President of India, was an unprecedented jesture from School sector.
