Manav Rachna International Schools offers two forms of scholarships to their students:

• Manav Rachna Scholarship Test

• Special Fee Scholarship

Manav Rachna Scholarship Test (MRST)

Manav Rachna International Schools (MRIS) is committed to recognising and nurturing young talent through the Manav Rachna Scholarship Test (MRST). Introduced in 2020, the test offers students a chance to earn scholarships with up to 100% tuition fee waiver, encouraging academic excellence in a competitive yet healthy environment

The test is designed for students in Grades 5 to 10 and is open to students from both MRIS and other schools. It is conducted across multiple MRIS branches in five cities.

Who Can Apply?

Students currently in Grade 9, planning to move to Grade 10 in the next academic session, can only appear if they are enrolled at MRIS or if they are outstation students planning to relocate to an MRIS city.

What Does the Test Cover?

The MRST focuses on assessing conceptual clarity and higher-order thinking skills through subjects such as Maths, Science, English, and Logic & Reasoning. It evaluates students' understanding beyond textbooks to ensure they are competent and confident in their knowledge.

Key Dates and Exam Details

• Test Date: November 16, 2024 (Third Saturday of November)

• Result Announcement: November 30, 2024 (Tentative)

• Exam Mode: The test will be conducted in person at various MRIS branches, with students choosing their preferred location during registration.

How to Apply for the Scholarship Test?

Students can register for MRST by filling out the application form available on the school’s official website: www.mris.edu.in. For those who prefer in-person assistance, assistance is also provided at MRIS branches. A non-refundable registration fee of INR 100 + taxes can be paid online or offline.

Criteria for Scholarship Eligibility

• Non-MRIS Students: Scholarships are awarded based on percentile rankings with a minimum requirement of 70% marks.

• MRIS Students: MRIS students can earn up to a 100% tuition fee waiver, which will be up to 75% of the grade-specific composite fee. They will continue to pay for academic resources, transportation (if availing), and annual charges.

• Admit Card/Letter of Communication received from MRIS

• Required stationery, water bottle,hand sanitizer etc

Renewal and Continuation of Scholarship

The scholarship is valid for one academic session. To continue receiving benefits, students must:

• Maintain 95% aggregate with at least 85% in each subject.

• Regularly participate and perform well in Olympiads and other competitive tests.

• For students entering Grade XI, the required aggregate percentage is 85%.

If a student does not meet these criteria, they can reappear for the MRST in the following academic session to renew their scholarship.

Special Fee Scholarship

The Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation has introduced the Special Fee Scholarship to assist students in need, ensuring that financial hardships never come in the way of their dreams.

The application form to apply for the scholarship is available on the school site.

• The final scholarship amount will be decided based on the merit and need of each student.

• For eligible students at Manav Rachna International Schools (MRIS), MRIIRS, MRDC, and MRU, the awarded scholarship amount will be credited directly to their fee account.

• For higher education students, the scholarship will apply to the current semester and may be reconsidered upon a new application for the next semester.

• For school students, the scholarship will apply for the current quarter and can be renewed through a fresh application for the next quarter.

Terms and Conditions

• The scholarship will be awarded based on a merit-cum-means approach.

• After receiving the scholarship, the applicant is expected to immediately deposit any remaining balance in their fee account.

• Supporting documents must be submitted along with the application, authenticated by appropriate statutory bodies.

• Students must maintain good academic performance and 75% attendance to remain eligible for future scholarships.

• Good conduct and behavior are essential. Any misconduct on campus or school premises could result in ineligibility.

• Applicants should not be receiving any other scholarships simultaneously.

• The applicant must provide genuine and valid reasons for requesting the scholarship.

Documents Required at the time of admission at Manav Rachna

• 6 passport-size photos of the child

• 1 passport-size photo of each parent

• Address proof (ration card, electricity bill, or telephone bill)

• Aadhaar card of the child

• Last 3 years' report cards (photocopies)

• Birth certificate (photocopy)

• Transfer certificate, if applicable

Note: Admission will remain provisional until all documents are submitted and verified. Incorrect information can lead to the cancellation of admission, and any fees paid will be forfeited.

Age Criteria for Admission at MRIS, Sec 21C

Grade	Age (as of 31st March)
Nursery	3 years to 3 years 11 months and 30 days
KG1	4 years to 4 years 11 months and 30 days
KG2	5 years to 5 years 11 months and 30 days
Grade 1	6 years to 6 years 11 months and 30 days

Re-Admission Charges &  Late Fee Policy at MRIS, Sector 21C

If the fees remain unpaid by the 15th of the next month, and the outstanding balance exceeds INR 5,000, the student’s name will be temporarily removed from the school’s roll. Re-admission will only be granted upon payment of INR 5,000 as re-admission charges, along with the accumulated late outstanding fee.

For students with continuous quarter defaults, re-admission charges of INR 5,000 will apply for each defaulting quarter if the unpaid amount exceeds INR 5,000 (excluding fines).

Note: The late fee policy and re-admission charges also apply to the children of MRIS staff members.

• First 7 days of default: Total fine = INR 350

• Next 8-9 days: Total fine = INR 800-900

• Next 14 days: Total fine = INR 2,800

If default continues beyond the 14th of the next month:

• Re-admission charge = INR 5,000

• Total fine and charges = INR 8,950 – 9,050

In Case of New Admissions for a New session At Manav Rachna, Faridabad

• If parents withdraw their child’s admission before the session begins, they must submit a formal application for withdrawal to the Head of School.

• Admission fees will not be refunded, but any security deposit or composite fee paid will be refunded.
