In order to best facilitate learning, we offer smart classrooms that use audio-visual methods of engaging students with their lessons. A computer is one of the most ingenious inventions in the history of civilization. It has both immense capacities to contain large sets of information as well as the amazing speed to accurately analyze the information stored in it. This is what makes a computer essentially an integral part of education in this modern world. The modern computer lab at FIS has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which caters to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. A wide spectrum of activities at FIS necessitates the existence of a seminar hall with the entire modern infrastructure in it. We have converted this necessity into reality. The architecturally magnificent structure of the centrally air-conditioned hall is equipped with high-end audio-visual facility and other technical infrastructure. The performance arena is used for seminars, exhibitions, and a number of cultural activities like public speaking, debates, declamations, poem recitations, dramatics, etc. Apart from co-curricular activities, the seminar hall is used for yoga, meditation. The multi dimensional talent of our children reflects in full glory within the acoustically marvellous seminar hall of FIS.

Dance Department strives to foster a love and appreciation for the study of Dance as an art form and as a physical discipline. Dance provides not only an outlet for artistic expression, but also a general posture and fitness benefit. Students gain self-esteem and self-discipline as a result of mastering a difficult art form.

By teaching students how to express themselves more fully, the Theatre and Speech Department guides students in the continuous exploration of human understanding. Theatre and speech are seen as vital skills for students of any age.

Learning something new is a special event and because reading underlies every area of the curriculum, reading and literacy continue to be central to the school mission. The spacious and well-resourced duplex library has been designed to provide the students with a peaceful and purposeful atmosphere to study and encourage intellectually creative thinking. School is committed to provide printed as well as E-books such as Kindles, Nook etc. for recreational reading and curriculum tie-ins. Students are encouraged to make full and effective use of the facilities in order to improve their knowledge and instill in them the habit of reading. Professional librarians provide expert help to ensure that the necessary information is available to students.

Physics laboratory exposes the students towards basic physical measurements to advanced instruments which are of high quality. In the physics laboratory we have measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Screw Gauze, physical balance which are of premium quality. The laboratory is well furnished with more than 50 instruments in the Physics Lab more than 20 students can carry out experiments comfortable. Electrical connections are provided throughout the table, that too with industrial MCB protection for ensuring safety in the Physics laboratory.

Our Chemistry Lab is one of the best labs in NCR. Chemistry lab is well ventilated, capacious equipped with modern amenities. It has most accurate digital measuring instruments required for measuring chemicals. Chemistry lab is designed in such a way which would help students to analyse, compute, integrate and deduce in lab which would further enhance their skills and help in hands-on learning. It enables personal verification of important experimental facts, logic and reasoning skills. The lab has 2 sections which comprises of main lab and a store room. It has a separate unit for LPG which provides LPG gas for conducting chemistry practicals. Chemistry lab has the capacity to cater more than 30 students at a time. Safety of students is the topmost priority. So enough fire extinguishers have been installed in the labs.

Our Biology labs is spacious with individual workstations. There are many microscopes and other instruments which would help our students to explore more. We have many specimens, charts and permanent slides which would help our students to have a better grasp of the subject and also inculcate interest and develop scientific skills in them. The lab is designed in such a way that students can research details of morphological, historical and physiological aspects of plants and animals in the laboratory. The labs also has more than 20 different types of charts and models as per CBSE standards.

Our Home Science lab is huge, well equipped and well ventilated with exhaust fans. Safety of our students is our main concern so we have installed fire extinguisher and first aid kit in our lab. It is equipped with basic facilities and equipments to conduct cooking particles related to curriculum. Basic equipments such as cooking range, mixer grinder, OTG, oven, refrigerator, necessary cooking utensils and crockery items are a part of home science lab besides many consumable items. The table tops of Home Science labs are of granite. A separate work table is earmarked with raised platform to facilitate the teacher to explain and demonstrate the experiment which students have to perform. The Home Science lab also has charts related to nutrition, textile, printing embroidery, house management etc.

At Florence International School we believe that Sports play an important role in our curriculum, promoting positive attitudes towards exercise and a healthy lifestyle and having the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.A balanced Physical Education programme is planned across the school to ensure continuity and progression in skills and knowledge and students are enthusiastically involved in sports and athletics.
