Christ Academy runs under the able guidance of CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) fathers, who have, from time immemorial, pioneered the cause of social uplift through their service in the fields of education like CHRIST UNIVERSITY, KRISTU JAYANTHI,Bangalore, CHRIST COLLEGE, Irinjalakuda, etc; healthcare like AMALA MEDICAL COLLEGE, RAJAGIRI HOSPITAL, Kerala and various other humanitarian activities. Christ Academy Group of Institutions strives to kindle the light of knowledge and wisdom in the hearts of all, thereby enlightening the various strata of the social orderDevamatha Province of CMI congregation had an intense desire to start an Educational Institution in Bangalore. Rev.Fr. Dr. Francis Kanichikattil CMI and Rev. Fr. Dr. Jose Pereppadan CMI, from Dharmaram College bought nearly 18 acres of land in Begur (16 Kms south west of Dharmaram College) and registered Devamatha Educational Foundation. The long cherished dream of Devamatha Province started by laying the foundation stone of the ICSE School by the then Provincial Rev. Fr. Jerome Cherussery CMI on 11th December 2004. The School commenced to function from 13th June 2005 under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Joice Elavathingal CMI, as the Principal and Rev. Fr. Joy Payappilli CMI as the Finance Administrator. Christ Academy reached to great heights and made a niche in the field of Education and society due to the hard work and dedication of Rev. Fr. Joice Elavathingal and all the other Priests who joined him in due Course. The trust started CBSE School and PU College in 2015 followed by Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (Degree College) in 2016 and Christ Academy Institute of Law (Law College) in 2017. Currently, there are 5200 students, 300 teaching staff and 200 supporting staff in the Campus. Christ Academy Junior College is dedicated to Jesus Christ, the Supreme Guru, who is our guiding light to enlighten every individual who is a part of our academic community. St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), is our source of inspiration and we at CAIAS undertake this noble endeavor to provide quality education to our scholars irrespective of caste, creed or religion. St. Chavara was a great educationist who brought about revolutionary changes in the society through his farsighted vision and creative mission.
