She shared her views about yoga while talking about the yoga day. Yoga is something that originated from India and now the whole world follows yoga and understands its benefits for mind and body. Everyone across the world knows the power of yoga. Our Prime Minister also promotes yoga and encourages people of every age group to practice yoga as it does not only promote physical health but also mental health. Our country needs more teachers and leaders like Dr. Urmila who knows the importance of change and tries their best to bring them into society.
Stress is the body’s reaction to any change that requires adjustment or reaction. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, or emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life. You can experience stress from your environment, your body, and your thoughts. Even positive life changes such as a promotion, mortgage, or the birth of a child promote stress.
The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. Stress can be positive, keeping us alert, motivated, and ready to avoid danger. Stress becomes negative when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation between stressors. As a result, the person becomes overworked and stress-related tension builds.
Dr. Urmila says that she gives importance to stress management and tries to build awareness about it. In today's world, no one is untouched by the presence of stress. She says that she and her team are in front of CBSE workshops about important topics like Dussehra, Diwali, Stress management, self-defence for girls, stress management, dowry system, and many more. They are also planning to come up with street plays about these topics. Their teachers are aware of all these topics and try to bring change by awakening their students and surroundings.
They plan to meet the Honorable Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and discuss all these serious topics with him. Dr. Urmila believes that if everyone in our society thinks like Mr. Narendra Modi and starts working on social issues with the same dedication as him then our society will change the world.
Stress has become a part of our daily routine. Excess stress also causes a lot of diseases. For eg. 80% of people are suffering from diabetes, it is not my demise but it is because of stress.
When both parents are working they are not able to give sufficient time to their kids because of which children feel the need for the love of their family.
When children come from a nuclear family or shift to a nuclear family they feel the absence of the love and warmth of their joint family which causes stress.
When one is not able to expect themselves they get stressed as they are not able to tell how they are feeling and what they want.
While doing these things we forget about our family. We forget that all of this will affect our coming generations. Parents should try and understand the problems of their children and help them in finding their solutions. They should be given sufficient time, love, and care because kids come with a label of 'Handle With Care'.
