Broccoli Cheese Bread

It is a very difficult and almost impossible job to make children eat vegetables. Especially the green ones. But even the children can't resist dishes like these. The extremely healthy and tasty Broccoli Cheese Bread is a dish that your kid will never say no to.

 

INGREDIENTS QUANTITY
Riced Broccoli 3 cups
Egg 1
Shredded mozzarella 1 and a half cup
Freshly grated Parmesan one-fourth cup (optional)
Garlic, minced 2 cloves
Dried oregano half teaspoon
Salt As per taste
Freshly ground black pepper As per taste
Crushed red pepper flakes As per taste (optional)
Freshly chopped parsley 2 tsp (optional)
Warmed marinara sauce As per your requirement

 

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 200 degree Celsius.
  • Microwave the broccoli for one minute.
  • Carefully rinse extra moisture from broccoli.
  • Transfer broccoli in a large bowl. 
  • Add egg, mozzarella, parmesan and garlic to the bowl and mix well to make a dough. 
  • Add oregano, salt and pepper into the mix. 
  • Place the two baking sheet on the baking pan or oil the pan. 
  • Shape the dough into thin, round crust and put it on the baking tray. 
  • Let it bake for 20 minutes at 200 degree Celsius till it is golden brown.
  • Take the dough out and top it with half cup mozzarella
  • Bake the dough for 10 more minutes until the cheese is melted and crust is crisp.
  • Lastly, garnish the broccoli cheese bread with parsley and pepper flakes and serve it warm with marinara sauce.

Tip: Wring the steamed broccoli using a paper towel, ensures that your cheesy bread is crispy and not soggy.
