Healthy Beetroot Sandwich

BEETROOT SANDWICHES

Beetroot is a beautiful pink vegetable that is often used in raw salads. Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are a great source of fiber, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. Beetroots have been associated with numerous health benefits, including improved blood flow and lower blood pressure. While kids usually find these salads too boring, let's see how to incorporate this healthy veggie in or kids’ diet with a tasty twist!

INGREDIENTS

QUANTITY

Beetroot (Grated)

1 Cup

Hung Curd

½ Cup

Salt

1 tsp.

Black Pepper

1 tsp.

Oregano

1 tsp.

Chilli Flakes

1 tsp.

Bread slices

4 nos.

Oil/ Ghee

1 tsp.

 

Method:-

  1. Heat a pan and saute the beetroot without any oil for about one minute to avoid the raw taste.
  2. Add the hung curd and all the seasonings and spices to make the filling for our sandwiches.
  3. Spread the filling liberally on a slice of bread and cover it with another one.
  4. Brush just a little bit of oil on both sides and grill it on a pan or a sandwich grill as per your choice.
  5. Your Healthy Beetroot Sandwiches are ready!
