Forensic experts have warned of the possibility of submission of fake documents and forgeries this year for the admission at Delhi University, set to begin from October 12, since this time the process is completely online. The verification of documents is a major issue.
While DU claims that all submitted paperwork is subjected to careful examination, experts have a different thing to say. Many colleges will be reluctant to meticulously check the papers because teachers have a busy schedule and a huge workload in the tight academic calender.

As per college authorities, a mechanism to verify documents have been set up involving a preliminary check up on identification of fonts, emblems, and location of words which may appear dubious. Other checks include paper quality checks, printing, watermark, and weight of certificate checks. While in case the documents are found doubtful cancellation of admission would be undertaken.
