National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPR) has decided to call a meeting with CBSE officials about the controversies surrounding its decision to collaborate with Facebook. The meeting is scheduled to be held on the 9th of November.

The child rights body which works for the best interests of children and strives to protect their rights have expressed concerns over the use of a social media platform for education. The CBSE officials now have the task of reassuring them and providing them with necessary proof that the collaboration will be beneficial for the students. The NCRP chairperson Priyank Kanoongo has communicated the commission's fear that the use of social media would end up hurting children and would not be a healthy platform for imparting education.
