The students of class 10th can now apply for CA foundational course. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India claims that they have received approval from the government regarding amendment for the entry requirement for the CA course. As per the new requirement, class 10th students are eligible to apply for the foundation course of ICAI. Previously, only those students were eligible to apply for the course who have cleared their class 12th.
The students who provisionally registered themselves for the foundation courses after passing class 10th will have more time to acquire techniques to appear for the CA foundation exam. According to ICAI, only those candidates who have appeared for class 12th in February or March will be allowed to give the foundation exam held in May or June.

ICAI claims that the foundation course will allow the students to complete the CA course for six months in advance.
