The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for the upcoming term 2 boards for the practical exams.
Both the internal exams for class 10 and the practical examinations for class 12 will commence from March 2. The schools have also been instructed to finish conducting practical examinations atleast 10 days before the theory exams.
The private candidates of both 10th and 12th will not have to appear in any practical exam and the marks will be carried on a pro-rata basis based on the marks obtained in the theory examination conducted by the board.
"In respect of candidates prior to session 2020-21, i.e. 2019-20 and before, marks prescribed for practical exams/ project/ internal assessments shall be computed on pro-rata basis, based on the marks obtained in theory exam," as per CBSE guidelines.
To avoid crowding and social distancing, the school may consider splitting the group/ batch of students in subgroups of 10 students each. The first group of 10 students may attend the lab work while the other is doing pen and paperwork and vice-versa," CBSE added regarding Covid guidelines during practicals.
CBSE is however yet to release the complete theory date sheet for the board exams. For further details keep an eye on the CBSE official website, cbse.gov.in.
