This helped me develop a keen interest in the working and running of the school from an early age.We try and inculcate values in our students such as being honest, respectful, compassionate, grateful, caring, forgiving and so on. We work towards teaching them to respect our Indian culture and traditions along with the cultures and beliefs of other nations.

St. Joan’s School – Newtown branch is a co-educational English Medium School.

Built on an eco-friendly and spacious campus with modern infrastructure, the school currently offers classes from Playschool till Class IV, that gradually will expand till Class XII.

The history of St. Joan’s School dates back to nearly four decades when the Kindergarten section of the school i.e. St. Joan’s K.G. School which was a preparatory school then, was founded on 29 January 1987 by Mrs. Debjani Ghosh who had a vision to provide quality and holistic education.

The first batch of the school started with students from age group 2+ years to 5+ years. During the long spell of years children were given a strong academic foundation which formed a basis for their admission into reputed schools like St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Don Bosco School, Modern High School, Auxilium Convent, Dum Dum etc. Over the years the school has established a name for itself as a leading academic establishment known for its academic excellence and all rounded development of its students.

The emphasis is on following a structured routine of academic rigour along with extra and co-curricular activities that helps students to bring out their personal best. Right from the inception of their academic journey, students are taught, groomed and assessed in a way that makes them prepared for an ever-changing competitive world.

The new branch of the school will continue the long tradition of achieving academic excellence as well as all rounded development of its students.
