Sewa Dham Vidya Mandir is the center for excellence with a motto of “education for change”. We focus on the all-round development of economically poor, socially backward and tribal sections of society. We believe in “Students of Today are the Leaders of today and aspire them to forefront as a leader on all spheres of life. In Sewa Dham Vidya Mandir students from 24 different states study together offering a very vast cultural diversity and thus creating an environment where student learn about different cultures and customs. Staying together from the first rays of sunshine to the sparkling peace of moonlight, this residential school facility is just not an ordinary school but a family of social-economic and scientific well-being.
One of the most significant indicators of social progress is education, which also plays a decisive role for a society to achieve self‐sustainable and equal development. The concept of development, on societal level, involves multiple dimensions. While most attention and efforts provided by developed countries are focused on improving the economic development of local society, other long term impacts are possible only when the essential driving force of social advancements is present: an educated generation of local people. Such advancements include democracy, humanity, equality, and other aspects that demonstrate the maturity of a country, typically following economic growth. Such changes can be made only when a certain level of awareness is built among the people. Failing to change people’s thinking is fatal to the ultimate fortune of a country which achieves empty economic booming. Sewa Dham Vidya Mandir School is one of the most prestigious project of Sewa Bharti, Delhi. It is a fully residential Sr. Sec. School was inaugurated on July 1988 by some social activists in order to meet nation's need. It is situated at Mandoli near Nand Nagri at trans Yamuna in Delhi. At present about 270 students of 21 states are residing here. They are getting educational facilities under (10+2) scheme. The school is affiliated with C.B.S.E., Delhi. An entrance exam is held for the selection of the students. The admission is given to only VI class students those who belong to socially and financially backward classes of the society.
All the facilities including boarding, lodging and fooding are provided free of cost. All the expenses are borne by Sewa Bharti. In fact, Sewa Dham has a national challenge. The object of Sewa Dham is to make a good citizen who is self reliant, honest, disciplined and dedicated to his mother land. To achieve the objectives an excellent academic atmosphere well equipped with modern educational facilities is provided.
Apart from education emphasis is given on extra curricular activities to inculcate good samskars among the students. Results have been satisfactory and encouraging. The school is marching ahead towards the most pious goal positively in the right direction under the guidance of dedicated principal and the noble team of teachers.
