Bulimia Nervosa, a serious eating disorder, marked by binge-eating and later on followed by an urge to get rid of extra calories. A person with this condition secretly binge eats and then take unhealthy steps to avoid weight gain.
Symptoms:
• Overeating followed by forceful vomiting.
• Self-harm, compulsive behaviour, anxiety, mood swings, depression.
• Dental problems, dehydration, sore throat, constipation.
• Absence or irregularity of menstruation.
• Frequent changes in body weight.
• Using laxatives due to the fear of gaining weight.
Causes:
The exact cause of the disease is unknown but it can happen due to several reasons like emotional health, social expectations, peer pressure and other issues.

Treatment:
• Let them know that the size of the body does not matter, help them to build confidence in different ways.
• Have an enjoyable family meal, regularly.
• Focus on having a healthy lifestyle and avoid talking about weight.
• Do not encourage dieting that involves unhealthy weight-control measures such as using laxatives, self-harm, etc.
• Consult a professional in case it becomes severe.
