The Delhi government has declared summer vacations from 11th May to 30th June 2020 for all schools run and aided by the government.
To tackle the massive coronavirus outbreak, this decision was taken to curb the syllabus backlog and is in the best interest of the students. A variety of activities are usually held in these schools during the summer vacations but the official order made it clear that there would be none this year.
"The summer vacation in government and government aided schools shall be observed from May 11 to June 30. However, keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic, students shall not be called to schools for any teaching learning activity during summer vacation," the Directorate of Education said.
