A larger turnout of students took place after Monday in Delhi schools. Students are said to have become more confident after seeing the response of their classmates on the second day of the reopening of schools. The attendance across government schools on Tuesday was 40%, according to sources in the Directorate of Education. By many parents, consent forms have been sent to many schools to reopen.

Within the next few day, the number of forms will increase manifold, the schools believed. They have already started distributing consent forms among parents. Since exams are near, classes can begin from February 27th, said Ashok Pandey, director of Ahlcon cluster of schools.

"We have gotten virtually five hundred consent forms from parents of science students. Since we'll begin our classes from weekday, there's a chance that a lot of consent forms can come by then," said the principal Tania Joshi.
