Barefoot Edu Foundation All Set To Revolutionize Early Education In India

Mumbai based social enterprise: Barefoot Edu Foundation is aiming at transforming early education in India. The entrepreneur duo: Jonathan Mendonca and Saumya Aggarwal want children to develop properly in 5 domains, namely: cognition, language and literacy, motor skills, socio-emotional development and creativity.

Their research found that Government-led Anganwadis provide education to a relatively large number of students but the teachers didn’t go through a systematic lesson on teaching and hence, students aren’t well educated even in basic things. This creates an even bigger gap later on.
