Lady Khatun Marium School is located in the midst of nature, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai life. It is a Kindergarten to STD XII Science and Commerce, co-educational school established in 1990, with a view to offering quality education opportunities in a remote area, Nhava. The School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) up to Class XII, Affiliation No. 1130041 and School Code is 06825. We are also accredited to National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for Classes X and XII. This preparatory program has been specially designed for those who, for a variety of reasons have dropped out of school at various stages or are unable to complete successfully Std. X or XII or its equivalent. The student body comprises of approximately 1000 students, from different walks of life. There are 60 teachers, with a rich experience in a variety of subjects. LKM School provides a solid foundation of concepts, skills and attitudes which ensure success in achieving one's ambition. The School, which originally began as a marine school, by Late Haji Ismail at Worli in 1910; for the sons and orphans of seafarers, found its permanent footing when the Governing Council decided to restart the Primary School naming it after Lady Khatun Marium Yusuf, in 1990. Lady Khatun Marium School, popularly known as LKM School, exists because of the enthusiasm of two staff’s wives who came up with the idea of teaching campus children English.
