I am happy your child will be attending our preschool and am confident you have made the right choice for your child’s education. The Preschool will be the “second home” for students where they will explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers and build their self-confidence. Dr D Y Patil Preschool is dedicated to providing high quality, developmentally appropriate learning experience for every child. Our students are our first priority.
Our school is a unique and outstanding institution that offers a rich curriculum and a broad all-around education.When you visit us, you will be impressed by our warm and purposeful atmosphere, underpinned by the dedication and talent of the staff and the enthusiasm of the students.
As well as our focus on the intellectual achievement of each student, we are committed to enhancing their enjoyment and interest in the whole school experience. We believe children need challenging learning experiences that help them move forward on the learning curve and not drill exercise that deprives them of this growth. We also educate our preschool students on the importance of social-emotional and building strong character traits. Even though we understand students need strong academic skills as they prepare for college and future career, they must also possess strong interpersonal skills in order to reach their full potential.
The children who come to us for education and beyond are given the opportunity to excel in their abilities, capacities, their choice of games and other extracurricular activities. We have a holistic approach in imparting education that creates self-confidence in children and improves their decision-making skills which leads to good self-esteem in them.
Here, we look beyond academics since we care for our children who we help to be inspired, moved, touched and transformed to become good and authentic human beings. We are creating innovative spaces in the outdoor areas to let children be more exposed to nature and the beauty of bird and animal life. We offer a comprehensive programme of sport, music and drama, as well as numerous co-curricular opportunities, trips and visits.
At Dr. D. Y. Patil Pre School, we are creating ripple effects of this positive and confident attitude. We see our children walk tall with their chest out and chin held high. We do whatever is humanly possible to take our children to the next level which is often the global level.
Above all, and just as much as any parent, I want our children to thrive and be happy throughout their time with us. We strive to be excellent in whatever we do and it resonates across our campus and drives high expectations and standards from everyone in our DPU community.
This year, we have started the term in Virtual School. Although this is not what we anticipated, the infection and fatality rates remain extremely high here and so it is wise to spend a little more time in this way. The uncertainty and the potentially disastrous consequences of reopening too early for face-to-face learning led us to announce a further delay for all students. This has subsequently been followed by other schools. I appreciate that this presents more challenge for the younger students but am grateful for the understanding that has been expressed by parents in your emails. My commitment to keep school safe and keep the school open is undiminished, and I will provide updates as the situation evolves.
