Aagaman – Orientation Programme 2026–27

Dharav High School, Gurugram organised the Orientation Programme “Aagaman – New Beginnings” on 7th March 2026 to welcome parents and introduce them to the academic vision for the upcoming session.
The programme began with a welcome address by our Principal, Ms. Ritu Jawa, who shared an overview of the school’s philosophy and highlighted the importance of a strong partnership between the school and parents in shaping a child’s learning journey.
This was followed by a thoughtful keynote address by our Director, Ms. Aditi Misra, who shared valuable parenting insights drawn from her experience. She encouraged parents to support their children with patience, empathy and sensitivity, emphasising the importance of emotional understanding in a child’s development.
The academic approach and teaching methodology at Dharav High School were then presented by Senior Mistress, Ms. Pratibha Singh. She introduced parents to the school’s experiential and activity-based pedagogy that focuses on concept clarity, skill development and independent learning. She also showcased the use of sensory-based classrooms, teaching aids, learning kits and hands-on activities that support holistic development across early and primary years.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ms. Harmeet Kaur, who expressed gratitude to the parents for their trust and partnership. She also introduced the academic team and invited parents to continue the interaction during the Coffee and Conversation session.
Parents later visited the respective classrooms, met the class teachers, explored the learning environment, familiarised themselves with the school portal and academic processes and collected the book sets for the upcoming session.
The orientation provided a meaningful platform for building strong collaboration between the school and parents, setting a positive and confident tone for the Academic Session 2026–27.

Our Little Champs embraced a day filled with exciting sports and experiential activities , building strength, enhancing coordination, and creating joyful outdoor memories alongside their parents.
From energetic play to creative challenges, the spirit of learning through joyful exploration was evident everywhere. While the children immersed themselves in adventure sports, parents participated in thoughtfully curated sessions that offered deeper insights into the school’s progressive learning philosophy and experiential curriculum.
The morning culminated in coffee, conversations, and meaningful interactions with the leadership team thus strengthening the partnership between school and home.

World Book Day Celebration

Dharav High School celebrated World Book Day with engaging Readathon activities, fostering love for reading and creative expression across all grades.
Students of Grades 3 & 4 participated in buddy reading and a book review activity, enhancing comprehension and confidence. Grade 3 students also took part in “Be an Author”, where they created and presented their own stories and poems. Additionally, students engaged in “Letter to My Favourite Character”, where they created their own books by writing letters and adding illustrations.
For Grades 1 & 2, the celebration began with a special DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) session, followed by storytelling and buddy reading, encouraging collaboration and joyful reading habits.
Our youngest learners from Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep participated in a vibrant Character Parade and Ramp Walk, dressing up as their favourite story characters and expressing themselves with confidence.
Through these activities, students experienced the joy of reading, imagination and self-expression in a meaningful and engaging way.
Red Day Celebration

Dharav High School celebrated Red Day with the young learners of Grade Prep, creating a vibrant and engaging classroom experience focused on colour recognition, creativity and confidence building.
Dressed in bright red attires, children participated enthusiastically in a Show and Tell activity, where they confidently showcased their red objects and expressed themselves using simple sentences. This activity significantly enhanced their communication skills, vocabulary and stage confidence.
The celebration also included a range of hands-on creative activities such as sponge dabbing on heart-shaped cut-outs, potato printing to create ladybug impressions and apple craft using finger printing and tearing-pasting techniques. These activities encouraged creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
In addition, a storytelling session – “Reggie Red” helped children understand important values like self-love and individuality, fostering emotional awareness and positive thinking.
Overall, the Red Day celebration was a joyful blend of learning and fun, helping children explore the colour red while building confidence, creativity and self-expression.
