Ms. Ritu Jawa, a passionate educator with over two decades of experience, currently serves as the Principal of Dharav High School, Gurugram. A lifelong learner, she firmly believes in embracing challenges that lead to both personal evolution and Institutional growth. Beginning her journey in education as a Class Teacher, Ms. Jawa holds deep respect for every teacher's pivotal role in the school ecosystem.
In various Leadership roles, she has consistently strived to build an environment where happiness prevails, collaboration thrives, and productivity flourishes. Her work in Curriculum Design & Innovation has significantly improved students’ performance, empowered teachers through training, and cultivated a positive and dynamic teaching-learning environment.
An Alumna of Lady Shri Ram College, her academic foundation in Psychology and specialization in Guidance & Counselling empower her to champion mental wellness and emotional resilience within the learning community. Her artistic sensibility, shaped by a degree in Fashion Designing, brings a unique creative dimension to her professional persona. She believes, ‘We must wear our smile like our signature, and our mindset like our strength’.
A trained Kathak dancer and choreographer, Ms. Jawa has conceptualized and directed numerous performances, weaving her creative vision into the cultural fabric of the institutions she serves. Her language development workshops, especially at the Elementary level, and her pivotal role in designing the Foundational, Primary, and Middle Years Curricula, showcases her breadth of expertise and deep understanding of developmental needs. Ms. Jawa strongly believes that redefining and introspecting one’s work is an important tool for growth—both personal and collective.
Her philanthropic involvement includes supporting the educational needs of differently-abled students, reflecting her deep connection to social causes and her inclusive outlook. These experiences have enriched her interactions with learners, deepening her empathy and insight.
