Admission to students is allowed following standard procedure of CBSE Schools. At first applicants have to visit the school website and follow the details mentioned in the Admission Notice generally published in September/October for the following academic year. The number of Class-wise vacant seats are clearly mentioned in the Admission Notice. Applicants seeking admission appear an interview and selected applicants are admitted. Students who get selected for admission are required to produce their original Birth certificate and TCs from the school where they studied last. Poor students are also allowed admission. Admission is made free from any discrimination in Caste, Creed and Religion.

Founder of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission, Rev. Swami Nityanandaji Maharaj had a long cherished desire to set up a school under Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and for that purpose he contacted the then Delhi Govt. Headed by Hon’ble CM of Delhi Smt. Shila Dikshit but he could not start it for not having NOC from the Govt. of West Bengal at that time.
However, his desire has been fulfilled by his followers after his demise. In Sept. 2014, the Governing Body of RKVM, Barrackpore took a decision to utilise its valuable land at 3, B. T. Road, Agarpara for starting a CBSE School in the name of our National Hero Swami Vivekananda. After making proper arrangements the Agarpara Swami Vivekananda Academy started functioning from the Academic session 2015 – 2016 with affiliation of the School from CBSE as a Middle School with 517 Students & 23 Staff only. In course of time the School has functioned well and has been upgraded as a X – Class High School (Secondary School) by CBSE during the session 2019 – 2020 with total students Strength 658 and 37 Staff.
The Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission has already been running many schools all over India because the system of Education for holistic development of child is very popular. Specially the modern system of Education as expounded by Swami Vivekananda is unparallel for regeneration of every individual and India as a whole.
For offering good education at a very minimum price is a goal of the Mission and we urge all our staff to focus their attention towards the goal of the School to make it excellent in terms of its input to the society. With prayer to the holy feet of Sri Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda ,

The speciality of our Teaching-Learning process is to develop moral values and feeling of brotherhood by the teachings and messages of Sri Ramakrishna, Ma Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and great men like them. Our staff are all well informed with the ideas and ideals of Swamiji and devoted to the school. I promise a safe and welcoming environment for our beloved students.

ASVA is an English Medium Co-educational School, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The syllabus is the same as followed in similar CBSE English Medium Schools. Any Student, finding it difficult to continue in the CBSE Unit English Medium, shall be able to switch over to the Bengali Medium Unit or English Medium of West Bengal Board at Barrackpore and continue there till the Class-X Examination and follow the school curriculum which are compulsory for all students under West Bengal Board. Students will be allowed to take Hindi language in all classes as per Norms of CBSE. This Mission has been declared status of Religious Denomination Institution under Article 26 of the Constitution of India by the Honble Supreme Court of India, therefore, this school will be run as per objects of the Mission with special importance to the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda through education and other school curriculum which are to be followed by all students compulsorily.
