Focus on high-weightage areas like reading comprehension, common LRDI sets, and arithmetic in QA to maximize your scores and percentiles.
  • Create a Structured CAT Study Plan: Develop a comprehensive study plan allocating specific time for each section daily. Dedicate a few extra hours to your weaker areas while maintaining regular revision of your strengths. Additionally, make sure you include time for revisiting past topics and keep a check on your progress.
  • Take CAT Mock Tests: CAT mock tests will give you a real-time exam experience. So take mock tests to improve your focus. This will be helpful for both accuracy and time management.
  • Analyze Mock Test Results Thoroughly: Post-mock test analysis is very important for understanding your mistakes and improving performance. Identify your mistakes, recognize topics that require more attention and time, and finally make a plan accordingly.
  • Focus on Time Management: Learn to efficiently allocate time for each question type during the exam. Prioritize solving simpler questions first and then move to complex ones. Avoid wasting your time on a single problem.
  • Strengthen Core Concepts: Have a good command of quant topics like algebra, arithmetic, and geometry. For VARC, enhance your reading comprehension by practising from diverse sources online. Improve your logical reasoning skills by solving puzzles and interpreting data sets regularly. Take help from the previous year's question papers.
  • Peer-to-Peer Learning: Join CAT preparation groups and forums to interact with fellow aspirants. Peer-to-peer discussions can provide fresh perspectives, strategies, and solutions, making your CAT preparation stronger.
  • Stay consistent and don’t take stress: Consistency is important for CAT preparation. Follow your CAT schedule and keep taking short breaks to recharge. Avoid taking stress and burdening yourself with more material.
  • Stay Updated with CAT Official Notifications: Keep an eye on updates from the CAT authorities. Be thorough and ready to adapt your preparation if there are changes in the CAT exam pattern or syllabus to ensure no surprises on test day.
