Why children make the bed wet?
Bedwetting is a common problem identified in Toddlers and small kids. But sometimes it can be a serious cause of concern for the parents.
How common is bed-wetting in the children?
Bedwetting is very common in toddlers, infants, and some small kids. As per a study, 40 percent of 3-years-old children wet the bed. But the question is why some children choose to wet the bed and some refrain from it? And the experts say to this, that due to the undeveloped bladder of the children. They are unable to store the urine for a long duration. Thus, bedwetting is a common phenomenon in children who are in their development stages.
The causes of Bedwetting
1. Some kids take time to achieve complete control over their bladder as they are in their development stages.
2. It could be genetic.
Tips to prevent your child from bedwetting
When the child grows, parents are often concerned when their children make the bed wet.
Here are some ways with which you can prevent your child from wetting the bed:
1. Parents should ask their children to visit the toilets 15 mins before or right before bedtime.
2. parents should not allow their children to drink caffeinated or sugary drinks before going to bed.
