Schools reopen in Noida; thin attendance on day one

Schools were shut in Noida and Greater Noida in March due to the Corona pandemic. However, as per the new guidelines schools will reopen on Monday. Most of the private schools remain shut as parents decided not to send their children despite comprehensive COVID-19 protocols in place. A few private schools that remained open on Monday, reported low attendance.

Keeping in mind the pandemic, safety measures were taken in schools. Security guards have been positioned at the gate to check the temperature of students and sanitize their hands. The school authorities did not provide school transport and children have to use private or public transport.

In many schools, circles have been marked in gates to maintain social distancing. The capacity of classes has been reduced to 50% to the main COVID-19 protocol. Also, the school will hold no sports classes or any other add group activity
