After 10 months of closure following the COVID-19 rules, the schools of Assam have reopened for primary students on Friday. Classroom lessons have been started for class 1-5. However, their attendance is not compulsory. Officials have stated that children under the age of 5 years won't attend school.

The students who were full of energy attended the school physical wearing masks and using sanitizer before entering the classrooms. With regular sanitation of classrooms, strict safety protocols have been put in place. The situation will be closely seen by the District administration.

On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday the classes 1,2, and 3 will go to school and on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. The school hours will be from 9:45am-1:45pm. 

In both government and private educational institutes had started scattered classes from September The officials said the students who don't want to attend the physical classes for them the online mode is still on and it's applicable to all the private and coaching institutes.
