The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has sought with its subject experts to reduce the syllabi of all major subjects of ICSE and ISC.
“Syllabus is reduced considering the linear progression across classes and ensuring that the core concepts of the subjects are retained’, said Gerry Arathoon Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council in the circular dated July 3.
The reduced syllabi are available on the official website of CICSE. Students may see the latest syllabus for ICSE classes 9 and 10, and ISC classes 11 and 12 in the respective website.
Head of CISCE affiliated schools have been asked to ensure that the concern subject teachers at the ICSE and ISC level transact the syllabus strictly according to the sequence of the topic given in the syllabus to facilitate the further reduction in the syllabus if required depending on the situation of the pandemic, he said.

He further said, that though the ICSE and ISC affiliated schools have tried their best to cope up with the changed scenario, there has been a huge shortening of the academic period and instructional hours.
