Schools in Madhya Pradesh are finally reopening for students of classes 1 to 8 after a yearlong break. The schools will be reopening for these students will be reopening on April 1st after the schools were shut down a year back due to the pandemic.

Just like the other states, schools in Madhya Pradesh are also reopening in phases. In the first phase of reopening, schools were resumed for the senior classes back in the month of December. Schools reopened early for them in order to aid them in their board preparations. The junior students did not have to appear for their exams and the students of classes 1-8 were promoted to the next class on the basis of class projects.

The State Education Minister Inder Singh Parmer has confirmed that the schools have been asked to follow all safety precautions to ensure maximum protection. This will include regular sanitization, usage of masks and ensuring social distancing at all times.
