The pandemic has made the need for immunity a big concern for parents. Winter is here and the sudden changes in the weather are making children and adults fall sick easily. Cough, cold, tonsillitis, fever, etc. are common problems associated with winters.

Here are some ways you can strengthen your child's immunity this winter

  • Feed them warm and healthy soups. Soups are highly nutritious and help keep children warm during the winters. Pumpkin soup, vegetable soup, chicken soup and stew, seafood bisque ( avoid in case of shellfish allergy), are some popular options.
  • Give your kids one teaspoon of honey every day. You can feed them raw honey or mix it with warm water. You can add tulsi leaves as well.
  • Give them fresh fruits enriched Vitamin-C. Grapes and oranges can be good sources of Vitamin-C
  • Have your kids spend at least 15-20 minutes in the winter sun. Sunlight is rich in Vitamin-D and will keep your kids warm in the afternoon.
