What is Postpartum fatigue?
The toll that childbirth can take on a mother’s body is known as Postpartum fatigue. Also, when mothers take care of their newborns without taking any break for themselves leads to exhaustion and adds to the cause of postpartum fatigue.
Causes for Post-partum fatigue
The causes are anemia, sleep deprivation, and other things that are associated with the childbirth process.
Here are some ways with which you can cope up with Postpartum fatigue:
1. Rest and Sleep properly- Mothers should take care of themselves and must have sufficient sleep. They should make time for a nap whenever their baby is asleep.
2. Eat healthily- It is important to eat healthy food. Therefore, mothers should not compromise with their diet and must add nutritious food to their diet.
3. Hydration- It is advised that mothers should keep their bodies hydrated.
4. Divide the responsibilities- Mothers may not overburden themselves with the work. They should share the home and child responsibilities with their partners equally.
5. Say “No” to visitors- It is better to ignore visitors for a while, as it may add to your exhaustion.
6. You can seek help from family and friends- You should open up to your family and friends. And seek help without any hesitation.
