Delhi Schools to follow 2020-21 Promotion Policy for class IX and XI Students

The Delhi Directorate of Education recently announced that schools in Delhi are to follow the revised 2020-21 promotion policy for students of classes IX and XI. The extension of the Promotion Policy is being followed due to the “exceptional circumstances” owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Necessary changes have been made to the Promotion Policy in order to keep up with the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Scheme of Assessment for the academic year 2021-22. The order mentioned, “In view of the exceptional circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, the revised promotion policy 2020-21 is extended for the academic session 2021-22 also”.
