States like Delhi and Haryana topped in NEET UG 2020 result. About 70% of candidates have cleared the exam from these states. While from the South, states like Kerala and Karnataka continued to have over 60% qualification this year. However, the biggest drop was registered by Andhra and Telangana this year.

Delhi topped the chart with 75.49% candidates qualifying for the exam, followed by Haryana with 72.9%. In fact, other states from North India such as UP, Punjab, Rajasthan have registered over 60% qualification percentage. About more than 1/3 of the toppers are from North Indian states.

The qualification percentage of Andra dropped 58.63% from 70.72% and 59.15% from 67.44% in Telangana. However, 15 toppers out of the top 50 students come from these two states.

According to experts, lack of monitoring and student being stuck in remote areas with no resources are the main reason for the drop in the qualifying percent of students this year.
