CSIR-NEIST Organises Curtain Raiser Event

Varied institutes across the state are organizing Curtain Raiser Event to popularise the scientific events. In line with identical, CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat conducted its Curtain Raiser Event of IISF 2020 in virtual mode on December 01, 2020.

IISF is an associate annual event organized to put together by the science and technology-related Ministries and Departments of the govt of India and Vijnana Bharati. This year, an oversized variety of scientists and establishments from India and abroad are expected to participate in IISF 2020.

The Director-General of CSIR Dr Shekhar C Niger-Congo urged for max participation and to utilize this chance to the optimum for larger involvement of the general public during this pageant.

The Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and Health and Family Welfare, Harsh Vardhan proclaimed this at a review meeting in New Delhi on October twenty.

Addressing the participants, Mr Vardhan said: “IISF 2020 are going to be organized at the virtual platform even at a much-upscaled level than the sooner ones, this being the new traditional. It is time to form the globe see the role of Indian Scientists to addressing world challenges and people’s welfare”, he said.
