The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ launched Comic Books for Class 3 to 12. And the comic books are as per the NCERT curriculum. During the event, more than 100 comic books are launched. The teachers have created and curated the comic books under the supervision of the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE).
This initiative aims to increase the social and cultural sensitivity among the children through a way of teaching.
CBSE said that comic books have ushered in the transformation of education to personalized learning. 21st Century schooling focuses on knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that result in creating holistic learners.
For a shift from textual learning to conceptual learning this step has been taken in line with National Education Policy-NEP 2020.
The students can access the comics on the government’s online portal- Diksha that is available at the official website diksha.gov.in or on the Diksha mobile application.
The students can download the app easily. And select the comic books from the application.
More than 1000 teachers from affiliated CBSE schools have helped in creating the comic books.
