The Delhi government launches an Education Mentoring Program for girl students of Class 9 to 12

Over 200 students of  Indira Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women (IGDTUW) will mentor 1000 girl students of Delhi Government schools of Class 9 to 12. The Education Mentoring Programme is of the AAP dispensation. And the Delhi government launched the program through its Youth of Education initiative. 


The BTech, MTech, Ph.D., and MBA students of the university will mentor the students presently, said the Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia. 


He said that our country is seeing innovations in the field of work. And these innovations are contributed by men, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). 


He said that with this program, the Delhi government wants to empower the students of Delhi, especially the girl students. And he wants that through this program girls will receive the guidance that will help them build sustainable innovations. 
Under this program, each girl of IGDTUW will guide five girls of Class 9 to 12. And will clear their doubts related to careers in STEM.
