CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2022: KIIT World School Hosts Delhi West Regional Round

Delhi schools battled for a place in the Semi-Finals of the CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2022 as the Regional Rounds drew to a close.

Dr Biswajit Saha, Director, Training & Skill Education, CBSE inaugurated the Delhi West Regional Round that was hosted at KIIT World School Pitampura, Delhi, calling on students to participate and celebrate heritage, irrespective of the outcome. He appreciated the efforts of the KIIT World School and encouraged participants from 30 schools across the region.

CBSE Quiz in KIIT World School

After a memorable cultural performance depicting the five elements of nature, students and guests explored captivating displays that brought alive India’s vibrant heritage including its performing arts, craft, architecture, sciences, food and education. The quiz master, Mr Ajay Poonia, recounted interesting anecdotes and trivia through the event, and KIIT World students shared glimpses of the museums, galleries, libraries, archives and institutions that are entrusted with keeping India’s heritage alive.

In the preliminary round, six teams came through a written test to compete in a nail-biting finish, in which JMV School entered the Semi-Finals. Accolades go to the CBSE for creating awareness among students on the breathtaking heritage of India, and to Host School KIIT World, Delhi for an innovative and engaging event.

The Quiz returned to its original format this year with the central theme of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence and its glorious heritage.
