The underweight kids have a bad appetite or they eat less, which makes it difficult for them to be fit and healthy. Thus, kids need proper nutrition, and eating the right food will help them to be healthy. 


Here is the list of foods that you must include in your child’s diet if he/she is underweight 


1. Potatoes- Potatoes are one of the healthy foods for children. They are rich in calories, amino acids, and dietary fiber. And they help in steadily keeping the weight.

 
2. Eggs- Boiled eggs are a good source of proteins, vitamins, and micronutrients. They are the nourishing food that helps the children to maintain weight. 


3. Dairy Products- Dairy products like cheese, butter, and milk are necessary for your child. They have calcium in them that will make your child’s bone strong. 


4. Lean meats- The meats like chicken are rich in proteins and calories. Thye help in muscle building.


5. Mixture of dry fruits, nuts, and seeds- The dry fruits, nuts ad seeds are rich in micronutrients, sugar and they are energy-dense as well. So they are a good source of weight gain. 


6. Bananas- They are considered a good source of energy and the best food to gain weight. So, making your children eat a banana daily can make them healthy.
