Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, after inaugurating a government ashram school at Kothare in Shahpur tehsil of Maharashtra's Thane district talked about the quality of education that is received by the students studying in Ashram schools and expressed how they should be receiving quality education as well so that they can be equal to students their age from urban areas.

He also talked about the fact that these Ashrams are the home of tribal students and how the state government is making constant efforts to provide the quality education that they deserve so that they can be at par with the students from urban areas. To provide better quality of education to these students, the recruitment process of faculty will be transparent and these students will be prepared in such a way and provided with training that allows them to represent the country in world events.
