Situated in Colaba, the heart of the bustling city of Mumbai,The Scholar High School is a co-educational institution that imparts education through the medium of English to prepare students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination. The school was founded in 1961 by Mrs. Mildred Marie Grant. Mrs. Grant achieved the rare feat of completing her graduation at an extremely young age of 16, before starting her career as a high school teacher. She taught in several reputed institutions before fulfilling her dream of opening The Scholar High School.13 January 1961 was the day that The Scholar High School first opened its doors to just 40 students in The Advent building at Foreshore Road. Today, the school has around 550 students from Standard 1 to 10.
