We redefine education at DUNNE'S INSTITUTE - where learning is a pleasure - enthusiasm to work towards the creation of a culture that celebrates learning as continuous and integrated with life processes. Dunne's institute was initiated by a French lady - Madam C. V. Dunne is 1949. On 6th April, 1956, it was taken over by three eminent and visionary Parsi sisters, viz., Mrs. Dhun Jimmy Engineer, Mrs. Mahabanoo Sorab Cooper and Mrs. Pearl Noshir Vevaina (daughters of late Mr. Behramgore Anklesaria). At present it is being governed by Board of Trustees - Mrs. Armaity Khushrushahi, Mr. Viraf Chiniwala and Mrs. Shavin Chiniwala. We are recognized by the Government of Maharashtra as a Parsi Minority Education Institution. We redefine Education in a manner, where learning is a pleasure and every child is encouraged to celebrate it. Ours is a co-educational and cosmopolitan institution which provides Education to all communities including the foreign students in a very congenial and harmonious environment. The school operates from two different premises situated at the most prestigious areas of South Mumbai - The Pre-Primary Section viz., Play Group, Nursery, Jr. Kindergarten and Sr. Kindergarten are situated at 4th & 5th Floor, K. R. Cama Oriental Institute Building, Opp. Lion Gate, Near Kala Ghoda, Mumbai - 400 023. The Primary Section from 1st Standard till the 5th Standard is recognized by the Education Department of Mumbai (Bombay) Municipal Corporation. The Secondary Section consisting of 6th Standard till 10th Standard is recognized by the Board of Secondary Education. The Institution is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), New Delhi. The Primary and Secondary Sections are situated at Admiralty House, Wodehouse Road, Colaba, Mumbai - 400 005. We are in Education field since last over 60 years and yet growing with youthful zest and vigor, adding new curricular and co-curricular facets, receiving new accolades and building a fine reputation. Under the able administration of the Board of Trustees along with dynamic Principal and a set of dedicated staff which includes well qualified and trained Teachers, a host of more than 750 enthusiastic young minds, supportive parents, the School has grown from strength to strength in last over six decades. The School is well aware and understands the health care of the child and conducts health check-up camps at the School campus regularly. The School is using latest technology to impart best possible education to the students and the teaching staff is also encouraged to further advance their teaching capabilities with the help of technology and the latest advancements in the field of education. We believe in inclusive education for the children. We have quite a few special children who are growing from strength to strength. The Institution has won the hosts of trophies & Certificates of Merit at competitions held by reputed Institutions, at different levels, from time to time.
