At BHS, sport is an integral part of the curriculum. Sports and physical fitness are critical to the overall development of a child. With ample space, multiple grounds and excellent sports infrastructure, all our students are encouraged to participate in sports activities of their choice. Our 18 acre campus boasts tournament specific football, volleyball and basketball fields, along with numerous other facilities for both, indoor and outdoor sports. From the more popular ones like cricket, athletics, table tennis, carrom and gymnastics, BHS also introduces its students to relatively uncommon sports. These include fencing, rifle shooting, skating, capoeira and archery, all conducted under the watchful eyes of highly trained instructors. This is simultaneously supported by a rigorous fitness and conditioning routine comprising of early morning jogs and yoga. Our achievements in sports include championships in a variety of State and National level tournaments. Some of our alumni have also gone on to turn their love for a sport into a career.

In an era where Reality Tv has literally become a career choice, we recognise that children are way more diverse and talented than we give them credit for. Performing Arts not only gives a child an avenue for self-expression, but also helps them learn the values of confidence, self-assurance and how to firmly believe in their personal views, while simultaneously respecting the views of others. Our Performing Arts Program is in effect throughout the school year and includes everything from Elocution to Debate to Slam Poetry to Plays and Dance Recitals.

Music is said to be an expression of the soul. We believe in encouraging self-expression. It is little wonder that music is integral to students’ life here. Specialised training is imparted by a multi-faceted instrument coach, who is well-versed with the intricacies of all the instruments. There is also a dedicated vocal coach for all our budding singers. The school frequently invites professional musicians to perform and teach. Creativity and arts is an integral part of the human experience. Hence, it is only natural that we give art a special significance in our curriculum. Our Art Room is airy, spacious and stocked with all the necessary implements and material for a holistic experience in creativity. A dedicated and highly skilled art faculty introduces the students to various aspects of creative arts from the basics like drawing, sketching and painting to more intricate art forms like sculpture,, pottery,and woodwork , our students are exposed to a wide variety of options.

Theoretical knowledge is important. But its value is enhanced immensely when supported by practical learning. It is imperative for students to learn through inquiry and application. They learn with, rather than by heart! Be it Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths, we expose our children to hands-on work. The enhancement this brings to their academic progress speaks for itself. Another subject whose in-depth expertise is indispensable in today’s day and age is Information Technology. Our computer lab has the latest systems, uninterrupted wi-fi connectivity, and powerful multimedia devices. A number of computer experts make this learning fun by patiently engaging students in their daily lessons. Here, our students understand both concepts and application. This makes for a rewarding experience with great recall value for kids.

Peace, tranquility and a path to experiencing a world beyond. The literary journey of our little ones has its foundations within this space. From old Shakespeare volumes to an extensive encyclopedia collection. From decades old atlases to the latest comic books. From poetry to a collection of educational DVDs, our library is a sanctuary. It is spacious and airy. The place where our children learn to love and respect the significance of words on paper.

Food has a direct correlation to learning. Eat well, for the brain needs sustenance to function well. Eat healthy and the body stays strong. Let mealtimes be positive experiences because food tastes better when it is shared with family. Our children experience family as they share the table with their teachers. A well developed nutrition plan ensures optimum physical growth. And to every parent’s delight, it is here that our children learn to eat even the frequently avoided vegetables and foods. With separate kitchens and dining rooms for vegetarians and non-vegetarians, personal beliefs and food restrictions are given due respect. Jain children can opt for Jain meals. While children who are unwell are provided with special doctor recommended meals. Food at BHS focuses on two things: nutrition and flavor. Well balanced, home style cooking keeps our children coming back for more. Even after they graduate!

When it comes to young ones, there are often injuries and ailments. When they are feeling under the weather, the Infirmary is where our children go for some rest and recoupment. Whether it is a cold, a tummy ache or even a fractured limb, our Resident Nurse cares for our little ones just as a mother would. Our 24 hour on-call Doctor visits daily. In case of major injuries or emergencies nearby medical facilities and specialists are available whenever required.
