Beacon High School

Established in 2014, Beacon High School, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, is an institution affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. The faculty of the school is committed towards fostering a positive spirit and believe in partnership between students, parents, teachers and support staff to create a milieu that sustains excellence.

Mission

With the aim of preparing students to thrive in the dynamic era of the 21st century, the school desires to set an approach to learning that incorporates inquiry, research, analytical thinking and an ethical approach that becomes a lifetime habit. The students are helped to focus on confidence building, while nurturing a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility through academic and co-curricular activities as we believe, like Paul “Bear” Bryant that, “It is not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference”.

Pedagogy

The curriculum for each class is carefully designed while incorporating the best of CBSE’s guidelines and innovative teaching methodology to ensure that all students in the class are engaged. The curriculum caters to the individual as well as the class as a whole. Academic support is provided for students who need extra academic assistance. Areas of improvement are regularly identified so that each child can progress at their own pace. The school has a well-trained faculty, employing best practises; using technology in education.  The school conducts the urge of purposeful inquiry in order to be well prepared for lifelong learning, so that students master a whole range of skills beyond subject specific skills.

Co-Curricular Activities

At Beacon High School, sports and community service are a quintessential part of their holistic program. Sports related activities are aimed at raising awareness on the importance of physical well being as well as inculcating leadership and team spirit. Community service drives are organised throughout the session to ensure students get the opportunity to give back to their community and become empathic and caring individuals.
