Schools closed in March last year ahead of a nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus are finally started to reopen in most parts of the country . All schools for classes 9 and 11 as well as degree diploma institutions in Delhi and national capital region ( NCR ) will reopen from Feb 5 following the COVID protocols as stated by the Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia this Friday . However , the schools were already reopened for class 10th and 12th students in January . Thus, the conditions would be similar to the ones announced when schools were reopened for students of class 10 th and 12 th on January 18. He added that students will be able to attend the classes with the consent of their parents and physical attendence will not be compulsory . Students will attend the classes in staggered manner with the permission of parents . All schools and colleges are expected to follow the guidelines and standard operating procedures ( SOP ) for the COVID -19
