Source: Punekarnews

Amid the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, schools have started online education for children. Many schools are forcing parents to pay full school fees and also forcing the parents to buy textbooks, uniforms from the school. Many parents complained about this to the parent’s union.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad parent’s union received more than 252 complaints in this regard. Some schools are forcing parents to buy textbooks from the schools saying that those brands are not available elsewhere and the books cannot be replaced. Some schools also offer that if the parents pay full fees, they will give the textbooks for free. While attending the online class students must wear school uniforms. Therefore, schools are asking parents to buy the uniform. Such compulsions by schools created discontent among the parents and many of them complained about it.

School authorities have warned parents that their child’s admission will be confirmed only if they pay the first instalments of fees. Thus, making it difficult for some parents to make the end meet as lockdown has left many parents in a bad financial situation.
