A petition was filed in SC against the decision of conducting board exams from 1st July which were postponed because of the pandemic earlier.
Parents of the students have demanded from the Supreme Court that the remaining 12th class papers of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) should not be conducted, as coronavirus is spreading rapidly in the country. In such a situation, giving exams can pose a danger to children.
The petition also states that CBSE examinations are to be held in July and according to AIIMS the Covid-19 pandemic will be at peak at that time. Therefore, the petitioners have prayed that the remaining examinations of CBSE tenth and twelfth to be held in July be canceled and the result of students declared based on internal assessment.
