Pimpri, 3rd July 2021: “Everyone has to go through the physical, mental and financial crisis in the emergency situation of Coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic. On such occasions, schools should show understanding keeping in view the interests of the students,” appealed Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil. A special meeting was held today in the attendance of Commissioner Patil in connection with the growing complaints regarding fees. The meeting was attended by the managers and headmasters of private schools. Education Officer Jyotsna Shinde and Education Officer Parag Mundhe were also present on the occasion.
Referring to bringing child labour into the mainstream of education by making the Mayurbhanj district in Odisha a child labour free district when he was the District Collector, Commissioner Patil underlined the importance of education. He also mentioned that with the help of teachers, we were able to overcome hardship and reach higher positions.
Commissioner Patil said that the future of the students is bright if education management plays a positive role. “We are currently on the verge of getting out of COVID pandemic, in which many families have been affected, many have lost their jobs, some children have lost their parents. It is time to give more importance to public service as we move forward through such a understated situation”, he said.
