The Bihar government recently introduced the ‘Praveshotsav’ scheme with an aim to increase the enrollment of students in school. The scheme also aims to encourage them to come back to school post the pandemic. This scheme was much needed as the number of students attending schools in Bihar saw a drastic decline by around 11 lakhs after the pandemic happened.

The campaign will be a 12-day affair, starting on March 8th and concluding on March 20th. In this ongoing campaign, the government will reach out to parents and students and prompt them to return to schools. The daily campaigns will include regular prabhatpheris, rallies and door-to-door march in an attempt to connect with the youngsters of the state.

Parveshotsav is a special enrollment drive that is being conducted in Bihar with the collaboration of the State’s Rural Development Department and Social Welfare Department aiming to ensure that no child in the state is deprived of their basic right to education.
