The onset of Corona pandemic followed by the nationwide lockdown has seriously affected the studies for students and as a result, the end term or the annual exams of majority state boards are delayed to April – May. To help the students of class 10th  with their forthcoming session ending board exams, the government of Odisha announced free distribution of exam guides to all the students of the state.

The Education Minister of the state; SR Dash announced this on Thursday. This year around 6,20,508 students are estimated to appear in the annual matriculation exam in the state and the government plans to provide each student with ‘ Pariksha Darpan ’ ( exam guide ) free of cost.

‘Pariksha Darpan ’ is 700 pages constituting guide book that will help students to strategise their preparation for board exams that are scheduled in May this year. The book comprises of important sample questions and previous year questions with their answers. The state Education Minister said that all students of government, government-aided and private schools who are going to appear for the matriculation examination conducted by Board of Secondary Examination ( BSE ) are eligible to get the book free of cost. The exams are scheduled to commence from 3rd of May. It's worthwhile to note that earlier the Chief Minister announced the waiver of examination fee on 13 th of January to help the students.
